New Children’s shop opens in Diss

BabyDen & Footloose children’s shoe shop becomes "Footloose ‘n’ Funnybones"

At a time when local shops appear to be closing each week it’s got to be great news to hear of a new shop in Diss. Footloose children’s shoe shop opened in August 2007 and has just merged with Baby Den and has been renamed Footloose ‘n’ Funnybones.

The new shop, based over two floors in St. Nicholas Street, offers a wide selection of brands of children’s footwear, children’s clothes – up to 12 years age, school uniforms, traditional toys, gifts and nursery equipment. Under the joint ownership of local mums Claire Wattam and Wendy Culley Footloose ‘n’ Funnybones offers a local shopping solution at competitive prices - as well as special offers and a customer loyalty scheme. The new shop has just under gone a refurbishment and there’s now even a dedicated customer parking space right outside the front of the shop.

"We wanted to create a bright and fun shop for local people. Many parents would complain there was little choice locally for children’s clothing and we now have clothing up to 12 years including school uniforms" said Wendy Culley.

With over 600 registered customers already the new shop hopes to attract many more people from Diss and surrounding areas. Open Monday’s to Staurday’s from 9am to 5pm Footloose ‘n’ Funnybones will shortly launch a web site and mail-order service too.
